Rooms once priced at Dh 492 are now listed at Dh 801, with premium options exceeding Dh 1,500.

Deluxe suites and superior rooms at five-star hotels on Yas Island, starting at Dh 1,200 and climbing to Dh 6,918 per night, remain among the few available. Rates near Dubai Expo, the designated shuttle pickup point at Expo City, are similarly elevated. For instance, Rove Expo City is charging Dh 1,198 per night for January 11–12, a 115% increase from its usual rate of Dh 319.

Music tourism, which is fueling the surge in demand, is expected to boost the UAE’s economy significantly. Travel analysts predict that Coldplay’s four concerts could draw up to 160,000 attendees, resulting in a 70% increase in flight rates and a nearly fivefold hike in hotel bookings.

“These high-profile concerts are more than entertainment—they are significant economic drivers,” Pittie said, highlighting their impact on hospitality, dining, and local attractions.

As the UAE’s music events market projects revenue to reach $140.4 million in 2024, experts see a booming opportunity for businesses to cater to event travelers.
